IPG GROUP AT LOGISTICS FORUM BODENSEE 2018

IPG GROUP participated in 11th Logistics Forum Lake Constanz in the Festspielhaus Bregenz. The forum was organized by Verein Netzwerk Logistik (VNL) for 300 participants under the motto “Logistics – a tightrope walk!? From digital vision and real manageability”.

Industry 4.0 has already slowly, yet decisively, set its foot in production systems and processes. Nevertheless, gap between digital visions and reality still represents stumbling stone to its implementation. Only intelligent solutions with appropriate interplay between supply chain organization and innovative technologies can help overcome this challenge. Such a setting may, and sometimes should, bring completely innovative business models, so that sustainability of supply chain and its resiliency to failures are preserved. Technology development continuously push the boundaries of opportunities in digitalizing physical flow of goods, and by doing so, adds significant contribution to improving service and sales and reducing costs.
Logistics Forum Bodensee offered a platform for knowledge transfer, exchange of experience and networking. It brought specialists lectures and established experts on visions and use cases of how solutions were implemented by companies from industry, trade and services. The participants got valuable insights from broad range of fields, including logistics, purchasing / procurement, production, distribution, SCM and HR.
