“Keeping the course between agility and stability” is the topic of the International Bodensee Forum for Purchasing and Materials Management on April 9, 2019 in Dornbirn / Austria. The trade fair, which is already being held for the twelfth time, will once again be held in partnership by the BME region Bodensee-Oberschwaben, the Swiss Association for Purchasing and Supply Management – procure.ch and the BMÖ – Federal Association for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics in Austria.
Keeping track of your own corporate goals is more difficult than ever considering the growing risks in the international environment. The geopolitical disruptions are unsettling the markets and are increasingly becoming a burden on the world economy. As the companies of the Lake Constance region are also in global competition, they too face the growing challenges on a daily basis.
In addition to globalization, the steadily progressing digitization of entire supply and value chains is forcing purchasing to act. After all, the industrial Internet of Things permeates private life and the economy. It breaks up and replaces traditional, hitherto successful structures. This disruptive process also has far-reaching consequences for procurement. After all, in the future, purchasing should be the pacemaker of this process and an active pioneer of digital networking between companies. To succeed, it needs extensive expertise. The organizers of the International Lake Constance Forum have recognized this and therefore put the future topic of Industry 4.0 back on the agenda of the event in 2019 as well. Look forward to experts from well-known companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, who will show you the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in exciting keynote speeches based on interesting best-practice examples.
Look forward to the following presentations and an expert discussion:
- Future management – identifying future trends and successfully managing them in the company: Professor Claus W. Gerberich – Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Reutlingen University
- Purchasing 4.0 – what does the buyer do? Axel Butterweck, former Group Head of Swiss Post, Bern
- Expert Meeting – Digitalization in Purchasing: How do companies inspire young people to meet the changing challenges of purchasing
- Digitization paths in purchasing: From the shotgun to the precision shot: Dipl. Ing. Lutz Schwalbach, Head of Operational Purchasing, Goeppingen, Weingarten and Versand Schuler Pressen GmbH
