Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy of Serbia organized a 12th public-private dialogue within the process of drafting the new Industrial Policy Strategy of the Republic of Serbia, initiated by the Government of Serbia.
New Industrial Policy of Serbia
Through the process of public-private dialogue, the economy was initially included in the development of the strategy, which made a major step forward and enabled the business community to actively participate in the creation of measures, regulations and policies important for doing business.
"Through the process of public-private dialogue in the context of the new industrial policy of Serbia, we made a big step forward in the development of the strategy itself, where the economy is being involved at the beginning and not at the very end of the process. This gives the opportunity for the business community to actively participate in the creation of measures and the policy of the state which have the biggest effect on the economy "said Mihailo Vesovic, Director of the Sector for Strategic Analysis, Analytics, Services and Packages of Products offered by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The process itself is of great importance for improving industrial competitiveness, sustainable growth and development of the economy, as well as for new employment in the Republic of Serbia.
Strategic Problems
At the meeting, strategic issues in the field of industrial development that are relevant for the following period were analyzed: empowerment of human resources, digitalization and innovation, investments and international business, environment and circular economy. The companies that participated in the work of the forum contributed to the quality of the process, development and implementation of the strategy with their knowledge and experience.
